Since March 2024, France 24 is reinventing and
strengthening itself with a new 360° broadcast/
digital editorial offering and a new look. This new
chapter in the history of the international news
channel aims to consolidate its status as a refe-
rence in the global audiovisual landscape by re-
maining faithful to its missions as a global public
service, along with its values and its editorial line.
A reaff irmed identity
The programme schedules ref lect a reaff irmed editorial
line. They showcase France 24’s commitment to timely and
thorough news coverage, defending human rights, f ighting
disinformation, upholding secularism, and addressing
environmental issues.
To accompany these arrangements, France 24’s branding
is being modernised along with the revitalisation of the
global channel’s identity. The new look ref lects the channel’s
editorial line and values: transparency, trust and closeness
to viewers.
Strengthened live segments
The live segments have been strengthened, with more
timely, responsive news, as well as major in-depth reports
— a strong feature of France 24 — together with all the other
topics on culture, sports and social affairs...
France 24’s new schedules also give greater prominence to
magazine programmes in the main live slots, in the same way
as features, which are becoming more visible and allowing
the programming to f low more smoothly.
These new schedules introduce a specif ic identity for
each live segment, with familiar faces, distinctive looks and
better-identif ied content. The adjustments are based on
programmes that are already well-established and popular
with France 24 viewers.
Channels that adapt to their audiences
France 24’s new schedules take into account the specif ic
characteristics of each newsroom and their audiences
in each viewing area. With French-speaking Africa being
the top viewing region for France 24 in French, the f lagship
‘Journal de l’Afrique’ programme is now also broadcast on
weekends. Meanwhile, France 24’s Arabic-language schedule
has been particularly enhanced on Saturdays and Sundays,
echoing the pace of life in the MENA region. On France 24 in
English, the increase in live programming that spans through
seven days a week means that we can better respond to the
challenges imposed by the very wide range of time zones,
thus maximising the channel’s ability to reach American,
European and Asian audiences.
An all-encompassing offering
The new editorial offering is just as much digital, with more
content produced for websites, apps and social media
platforms, thanks to the increased live coverage and
sequences that can be adapted to digital mediums.
