Maya Siblini
Deputy Director of France 24’s
Arabic channel
Always right at the heart of the news and pertinent topics,
France 24 in Arabic is offering a new, enhanced schedule: more
live coverage for greater responsiveness, everyday of the week,
especially in the evenings. The offering is notably strengthened
on weekends to be even more in line with the lifestyles in the
Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Experts provide daily key
information to dissect international news, ranging from politics,
economics, social topics, and sports, amongst others.
We are also improving our editorial offering with new events and
programmes, particularly in the spheres of fact-checking and
debunking fake news, with an emphasis on environmental issues.
Alvaro Sierra
Deputy Director of France 24’s
Spanish channel
France 24’s smallest channel (in terms of its age!) that has f ir-
mly established itself over the past few years in Latin America
is preparing to become a little bit bigger and a little bit closer to
its audience. The editorial offering features strong live segments,
along with innovative column broadcasts such as ‘Cómo amane-
ce en...’ (How a city in the Americas wakes up, produced by our
correspondents) and ‘En contexto’ (The event of the day put into
context). In addition, we will innovate in terms of digital formats
and increase our production capacities by assigning a number
of web correspondents to Mexico and Argentina. Like its sister
channels, France 24 in Spanish - based in Bogotá, at the heart of
the Latin American continent - is fully anchored in the continent’s
seasonality and the expectations of its audience. ¡Hasta Pronto!
